Eastern Shore Solar Project
The Eastern Shore Solar Project also known as Amazon Solar Farm US East, is the largest solar farm in the mid-Atlantic region. Located on the Delmarva Peninsula in Virginia this solar farm powers Amazon Web Services’ (AWS) data centers. The solar farm produces 80 MW, generating 171,000 megawatt-hours of electricity per year.
Sentry Electrical Group worked with the prime contractor and Dominion Power to construct the solar farm utilizing the Next Tracker wireless racking system. Sentry completed all DC and AC installations and electrical testing from the panels to skid platforms. Sentry also installed 82,000 feet of AC collection, 90,000 feet of DC (CAB solution), 44 skid platform solutions, 880 combiner boxes and skip string wiring for 334, 400 solar panels.
