Substation Construction for Iris Solar

The Iris Solar project in Washington Parish, Louisiana, was completed in 2021. It spans 492 acres.

In conjunction with the St. James Solar Project, which was completed nearby around the same time, the projects produce a combined 70 MW of power, which is sold to Entergy New Orleans on a 20-year contract. The combined power produced at the St. James and Iris Solar sites is enough to power 13,000 homes each year.

Sentry Electrical Group provided substation construction and substation interconnect for 50 MW with 115 kV line voltage.
